Description:

This school of ten rooms or more is a single-story, rectangular (214′ x 60′) structure constructed of brick in running bond. The roof is flat with parapets. The door is recessed behind an art deco-style entrance with pilasters. The brick has been painted red. The windows are new and have been partially filled in. Additional buildings have been added to each side except the front. The alterations impeach the integrity of the building.
The Catoosa School is unique within the city of Catoosa in terms of its art deco style, type, scale, and workmanship. The construction of the school provided jobs for those desperately in need of work and enhanced educational opportunities in the area.
