Description:
The Gym at this property has a WPA plaque that is dated 1941-42, but the north end school building has a plaque that has a date of 1927. This looks to have been a addition and Gym project to the then High School, because the north plaque states Hennessey High School. The north building is currently being used as the community library. Gym has the Art Deco stenciled of “Gymnasium”, also has curved brick work. Older photos from the Oklahoma Landmarks Inventory dated: 1998, shows a full school connecting the gym to the school, but now missing the mid section of the school.
