Description:
5 Foot high granite block wall set in sections of 12 feet between granite pillars. The north wall has been replaced with concrete block.[1] Although this was orginially a football field, football was discontinued in the 1960s? due to the dangers. It then became a baseball diamond.
Personal note: I grew up in Granite Oklahoma during the first part of the 1970s and played many a baseball game here in the off season. Also climb those walls many a time. This was my first encounter with WPA structures.
