Description:
The Oklahoma Army National Guard Hanger in Norman, Oklahoma, has had quite a history. In 1940, the Nuestdadt family of Ardmore, OK, made a $10,000 donation to the University of Oklahoma for the purpose of building an airport. After the hanger was constructed, it was used by the Navy in WWII to train combat pilots for the war, and in 1948, the airport was returned to the University, which promised to operate it for the good of the citizens of Norman
